The NRS Dovedale Adjustable Commode is a dependable, freestanding toilet aid designed to support independence and dignity for people who find using a standard toilet difficult. The commode frame is height adjustable, with a seat height that can be set anywhere between 45.0 cm and 60.0 cm. This flexibility allows the seating position to be tailored precisely to the user, reducing strain when sitting down or rising, and helping to maintain a comfortable and safe posture throughout use.

The seat is upholstered in flame-retardant vinyl, which is both comfortable and straightforward to maintain. It can be wiped clean after each use with standard cleaning products and is suitable for autoclaving at 80°C, making it easy to meet hygiene standards in care environments.

A hinged toilet seat opens to reveal a 5-litre plastic commode pan, which is supplied complete with a lid. The lid keeps odours contained between uses and makes disposal more discreet and hygienic. The pan lifts away cleanly for emptying and washing.

The armrests are positioned to give confident support when transferring on and off the seat. The arm width measures 51.0 cm at the top and 41.0 cm at the bottom, providing a secure frame around the user. The commode supports a maximum user weight of 180 kg (28 st), accommodating a broad range of individuals.
