Wellbeing starts with our people

01/08/26

August is National Wellness Month, which feels like a good opportunity to talk about something that’s genuinely important to us: looking after our people.

At NRS-UK, we know that work is only one part of life. Everyone has different priorities, responsibilities and challenges outside the workplace, so creating a supportive environment means more than simply offering a benefits package.

As part of Mobilitas Group, we’re fortunate to provide colleagues with access to Care Miles, a rewards and wellbeing platform that supports physical, mental and financial wellbeing. From mindfulness resources and fitness content to financial guidance, healthy recipes and everyday discounts, it’s packed with tools designed to help make life a little easier.

Alongside Care Miles, colleagues also have access to a confidential Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The service provides professional support on a wide range of issues, including mental health and wellbeing, stress management, financial and legal concerns, family matters and life’s everyday challenges. It’s there whenever support is needed, whether for a significant life event or simply for guidance and reassurance.

What makes Care Miles stand out is that it recognises people as individuals. Whether it’s celebrating a wedding, welcoming a new baby, helping towards driving lessons, offering holiday exchange options or recognising a colleague who’s gone above and beyond, there are lots of ways the platform supports life’s moments, both big and small.

Colleagues can also benefit from retailer discounts, cashback offers, savings schemes, cycle-to-work initiatives and a range of other perks designed to help their money go further.

Of course, wellbeing isn’t just about benefits. It’s about feeling appreciated, valued and part of something. Whether that’s through colleague recognition schemes, enhanced holiday entitlement, payday breakfasts or simply the support teams give one another every day, we’re committed to creating a workplace where people feel they matter.

The work our colleagues do has a real impact on the lives of the people we support. The least we can do is make sure they’re supported in return.

This National Wellness Month, we’re proud to be part of a business that continues to invest in its people and create a workplace where wellbeing isn’t a one-off initiative, but an everyday priority.
